Yvonne Jeannette Puckett age 61 of Belle Fourche, died Thursday April 26th, 2007 at her home in Belle Fourche, surrounded by her family.

The Memorial Service will be held 10 am Tuesday at the Northern Hills Church of Christ with Revs. Jerry Savage and Ken Tackett officiating. Inurnment will be held in the Black Hills National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 to 7 pm Monday at Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Belle Fourche Ambulance.

Yvonne Jeannette Hill was born July 14, 1945 in Deadwood South Dakota. She was the daughter of Charles and Lucille (Joens) Hill. Yvonne grew up in the Lead area and she was a graduate of the Lead High School. On September 30, 1973 she was married to Hubert Puckett in Lead. Following their marriage they resided at Ellsworth Air Force Base until 1977 when the moved to Belle Fourche. Together, Yvonne and Hubert enjoyed more than 33 years of marriage. For the past 15 years or more, Yvonne has worked as a Crosswalk Attendant for the South Park Elementary students in Belle Fourche. For the past several years she's been working at the school in the lunchroom and playground areas. During all these years, Yvonne loved the students and enjoyed being called "Grandma" by many. She was known by the kids for her loving heart.

Yvonne enjoyed collecting dolls years ago. And she loved fishing. Many memories were made in the area lakes fishing with her. She also enjoyed shopping. Most of all she loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her grandchildren meant the world to her, and there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for them. This past January Yvonne was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. During this time she's been a courageous fighter. She will be remembered for her dedication to family and the love she carried in her heart. She will be greatly missed.

Yvonne is survived by her husband, Hubert of Belle Fourche; Daughter, Kris (Wes) Cook of Belle Fourche; sons, Charles Juhala of Rapid City, Steven Juhala of Casper WY, Jason (Kristelle Grevstad) Puckett of Belle Fourche; 9 grandchildren, James, Juston, and Amanda Cook, Ezekiel, Tiffany, Trisha, and Heidi Juhala, Searraha Dropper, and Jordan Reynolds. She is also survived by her sister, Charlotte Rodman of Rapid City.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
