Wilma Marlene Huber passed away on May 26, 2026 in Five Counties Nursing Home, Lemmon SD. Graveside service and burial was held Thursday May 28, 2026 at Zoar United Methodist Cemetary southwest of New Leipzig.

Wilma was born August 17, 1937 to her parents Ed and Olga (Hillius) Fried. They had seven children Herbert Fried, Verna McDonald, Clarance Fried, Arnold Fried, Edward Fried, Twins Wilma Huber and Wilmer Fried.

She is survived by brother Edward & Ruth Fried of Mobridge SD and several nieces & nephews and friends.

Wilma grew up on a farm south of Elgin. She was married to George Huber on 6th of August 1961. They farmed together and went to thrashing bees and other gathering.

Wilma love playing & watching the newborn calfs, playing with the cat on the farm.

They retired and moved to a apartment in Carson. George passed away on Sept 10, 2016. Wilma stayed in Carson for a few years after George passing. Then moved to Prairie Pines Apt in Lemmon SD on Nov 19, 2022. Later moved to Five Counties Nursing Home in June 3, 2024.

She liked to talk German with others also joking around. She got along with most everybody. Will be missed by a lot of people.
