Wilda Claire Schlenvogt, of Rolla, North Dakota and formerly of Regent, North Dakota, entered the gates of heaven at the age of 96 on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.  Wilda was born to Elvin and Irene Lovitt on May 26, 1926 on her grandmother's farm north of Regent, and graduated from Regent High School in 1944.

Wilda married Warren Schlenvogt of Mott, North Dakota, on June 23, 1946, and they spent most of their married life on the family farm east of Regent, until the early 1980s, when they began wintering in Mesa, Arizona.  They were the proud parents of three sons, Allen, Mark and James.  Wilda and Warren retired to Mesa, Arizona, in 1994 after Warren's health declined, and he later passed in 1995.  In the late 1990s, she returned to North Dakota as a full-time resident.

Wilda devoted her life to her family first; the Congregational and Lutheran Churches in Regent as the pianist for over 30 years as well as singing for many weddings and funerals; member and officer in the Church Ladies Aid organization; membership in the Eastern Star in Mott; and her many friends.  Wilda was an active member of the Cannonball Homemakers Club.  She led the move for a Regent town library to be established in the Regent Senior Center, and also volunteered in the Enchanted Highway Gift Shop.  She was a supporter of the Enchanted Highway, the Hettinger County Museum and the Regent Development Corporation.  She could always be counted on for a smile, a friendly ear, a helping hand, or whatever you might need.  She was never without a twinkle in her eye.  But her family will always remember her for her great cooking and endless love.

Wilda enjoyed bowling, entertaining her friends and family, traveling, playing cards and especially playing games with her grandchildren.

Wilda is preceded in death by her parents and her step-mother Phoebe, her husband Warren and her brother Edgar Lovitt.  She is survived by her children Allen (Janice), Mark (Carolyn) and James (Jean), 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the staff at SMP Health-St. Kateri in Rolla, North Dakota, for their kind and dedicated care of Wilda for the last two years.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home of Mott.

Casket bearers include Robert Carlson, Robert Candrian, Pat Candrian, Garrett Schlenvogt, Terry Dakken, and Allan Page.  Honorary bearers are all friends, neighbors, and relatives.
