Viv started work at Braughts Super Valu, later working for Lynn's Super Value and Bills Super Valu. She worked in produce, meat and grocery, but was the manager of the produce department for many years and retired after 53 years.

Throughout her life, Viv enjoyed playing BINGO, playing cards, cooking, baking and watching baseball.
