Veronica Schlosser's Obituary
Funeral services for Veronica Schlosser, age 84 of Mott, will be held at 10:30am Tuesday, June 26, at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Mott. Fr Charles Zins will officiate with burial in St. Vincent's Catholic Cemetery at Mott.
A rosary service will be held at 7:00pm on Monday evening at St. Vincent's Catholic Church.
Special music will be provided by Pat Schwartz, Missy Riedlinger and Jennifer Johnson.
Serving as casketbearers are Donna Laufer, Scott Mattis, Gary Schlosser, Brent Moe, Sheila Moe, Tammy Moe, Bert Schaible, Evan Schaible, and John Schaible. All Veronica's grandchildren are considered honorary bearers.
VERONICA EMMIL was born July 26, 1922 at Sheffield, ND to Markus and Monica (Olheiser) Emmil. She grew up and attended school in Sheffield and for a short time in Rochester, MN. Veronica was united in marriage to Valentine Schlosser on February 18, 1942 at Sheffield, ND. Following their marriage, they lived in Mott where they operated Schlosser Construction and raised their family. Her husband Val passed away on September 27, 2001. She continued to live in Mott and on March 26, 1998, she entered the Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Mott. She passed from this life there on Thursday, June 21, at the age of 84 years, 10 months, 25 days.
Veronica was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed baby-sitting for her grandchildren, family and friends, cooking, canning, working on jigsaw puzzles, and playing bingo.
Surviving family members include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Virgil and Carol Schlosser, Mott, ND; Larry and Delores Schlosser, Mott, ND; 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Venita and Ray Mattis, Hettinger, ND; Vernetta Schlosser, Cheyenne, WY; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, William Swindler; 2 brothers and 1 sister-in-law, Cyril and Lee Emmil, Dickinson, ND; George Emmil, Wilton, ND; 2 sisters, Tillie Nelson, and Adeline Klein, both of Dickinson, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Val, daughter, Vivian, son-in-law, Gary Moe, brother, Leo Emmil, and 3 sisters, Mary Wolf, Katie Gabbel, and Louise Emmil.
Visitation will be Monday 1:00 to 6:00pm at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Mott.
