Tim Ulrich, age 73 of Elgin, passed away on Tuesday evening, January 19, 2021 at the Jacobson Memorial Hospital in Elgin.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am MT on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elgin.  Pastors Deb Cantrell and Dave Skjoldal will officiate with inurnment in the Hope Congregational Cemetery at Elgin.

The Service will be live streamed on Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church  facebook page.

Timothy Ulrich was born November 6, 1947 at Elgin, ND to Albert and Elizabeth (Mocko) Ulrich of Heil. He attended school near the farm and then in Heil.  He lived and worked on the family farm north of Heil, moving to Elgin after the deaths of his parents. During that time on the farm, he also worked for farmers in the area and as a carpenter. Life handed him some battles, but Tim was always eager to help anyone and everyone. He had a great sense of humor and was known to play jokes on family members.  He was an awesome uncle to the many nieces and nephews who spent a great part of their lives on that family farm.  He cherished family and friends. Some of his friends became family – Laura and Mason Zimmerman and their children were family to him and he spoke of them often and with much pride.

Tim left this life on January 19, 2021 at the Jacobson Memorial Hospital in Elgin.

He is survived by a brother, Rodney (Evon) Ulrich of Elgin; two sisters, Joyce Steinle and Karen (Doug) Sokolofsky of Bismarck and sister-in-law Muriel Ulrich of Elgin, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings Betty (Adam) Mann,  Lee (Susan) Jueth, Donald (Jeannie) Ulrich, Curtis Ulrich, Robert Ulrich, George (Alice) Ulrich and Agnes (Rollin) Balliet and brother-in-law, Jeff Steinle.
