Sylva Goetz, age 80 of ThunderHawk, SD passed away on Wednesday morning, July 9, 2014 at the West River Regional Medical Center in Hettinger.

Funeral service for Sylva will be Monday, July 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Chapel of Evanson Jensen Funeral Homes in Lemmon, SD. Rev. Bob Edwards will officiate and burial will follow at the Greenhill Cemetery. Visitations will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 13 and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday morning, all at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home.

Sylva Joy Goetz was born to Herb and Ethel (Gratz) Wacker on February 23, 1934 in Lemmon, SD. She attended school and graduated from Lemmon High School. Sylva lived in Bowman, ND and Miles City, MT. For the last 26 years Sylva worked as a book keeper at Kittleson Repair in Thunder Hawk, SD with her significant other, Ron Kittleson.

She is survived by her two children, Dave and Carol Goetz, Broken Arrow, OK, Steve and Robin Goetz, Miles City, MT; her special friend, Ronnie Kittelson, Thunder Hawk, SD; and her brother, Dale and Liz Wacker, Bowman, ND, daughter-in-law, Sara Goetz and 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Sylva was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Donald Wacker and her son, Tyson Goetz.
