Funeral services for Steven W. Hillius, age 46 of Denver, CO, formerly of Lemmon will be held at 10:00am on Friday, September 29, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lemmon. Fr Brian Fawcett will officiate with burial in Greenhill Cemetery at Lemmon.


Special music will be provided by Doreen Bierwagen. Andrea Block will sing "Amazing Grace".


Serving as casketbearers are Morgan Wise, Danny Cornelius, Todd Texley, Carol Kling, Pat Bootz, Bruce Kile, and Steve Seidel.


STEVEN WAYNE HILLIUS "Pollard" to his many friends was born August 29, 1960 at Lemmon, SD to Reuben G. and Mary M. (Binek) Hillius. He attended school in Lemmon graduating with the Class of 1979. One year later he started college at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. He graduated from there in 1986 with a Electrical Engineering Degree. Steve moved to Denver where he began working at the Coors plant. He was united in marriage to Erin K. Hayes on November 23, 1990. Over the years his job would require extensive traveling to the plants operations in Saudi Arabia, China, Malasia, Ireland, Virginia and Tennesee.


Steve passed away on September 24, in Denver.


Surviving family members include his mother, Mary Hillius, Lemmon; his wife, Erin Hillius, Denver, CO; 1 step-daughter, Lacey Hayes, Denver, CO; 1 brother, Keith Hillius, Denton, TX; 1 brother-in-law, Stacey Block and his wife Deb, Lemmon; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Steve was preceded in death by his father Reuben on December 10, 2002, his brother Michael John Hillius on June 19, 2001, and his sister Debbie Block on August 9, 1998.
