Steven Joseph Evenson Ebert was born December 8, 1963, to Evelyn Evenson Ebert in Sidney, Nebraska. Steve was later adopted by James Ebert in August of 1976. The Lord gave Steve the greatest birthday trip to Heaven to be back with the Lord, his mom and grandma Evenson on his 59th birthday, December 8, 2022.

Steve lived and started his elementary education in Billings, MT and then moved to Hettinger, ND and attended Hettinger Public School. After surviving a motor vehicle accident in 1982, Steve continued to live with his parents in Hettinger, ND and later moved back to Billings, MT. While in Billings, Steve would walk his way down to Charlie Brown's Bar and do small jobs in payment for a pop or a beer. In 2004 Steve and his parents moved back to Hettinger, ND and remained there until his passing. While in Hettinger, Steve would walk down to The American Legion Bar daily and do small jobs also in payment for a pop or a beer. He also helped with chores around the house to help his mom and dad. Many would see Steve in Hettinger walking main street from bar to bar, to keep up on the gossip of the town. Even though Steve grumbled under his breath many times throughout the day he was a teddy bear at heart. He loved kids and would take the time to play with them if his body allowed. In 2018, Steve moved to West Horizons Living Center until his passing.

He will be missed by his family, father James Ebert, Lisbon, ND; brother Tim (Bev) Ebert, Belfield, ND; brother Carl (Heather) Ebert, Hettinger, ND and his numerous nieces and nephews, Rachel, Hailey, Heaven, Gunner, Joslyn, Fynn, Logan, Lauren, Kit, Timmy and Pyper.

He is proceeded in death by his mother, Evelyn Ebert, Grandma Bobby, Grandpa Arvin, Grandma Dorothy and Grandpa Emil.
