Sheli Bentsen Beld, 60, of Reeder passed away on Friday December 9, 2022 at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck ND due to several medical conditions including a recent diagnosis of breast cancer.

Sheli was born in Hettinger to Dennis and Janice (Carter) Bentsen. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. Sheli graduated from Hettinger High School in 1980. She married Lynn Hoffland and two children were born to this union, Carter in 1983 and Carri Sue in 1984. They briefly lived in Nevada and Arizona before moving back to the Dakota's. Sheli worked numerous jobs but she especially loved being a CNA and working with the elderly. Sheli married the love of her life Ashley Beld on May 1, 2008. They made their home in Hettinger and then Reeder. She was always very proud of their yard and the homemade petrified rock pond.

Sheli was an avid animal lover. She also enjoyed reading and puzzles but most of all she loved the Vikings.

She is survived by her husband Ashley Beld of Reeder, her son Carter Hoffland of Gillette, WY, her parents Dennis and Jan Bentsen, two sisters, Sheri (Ted) Uecker, and Susan Bentsen all of Hettinger, her Nephew Eric (Kayla) Honeyman of Cowley, WY, her Niece, Erin Sue (Alan) Timm, and Great Niece Callie Kay Timm all of Hettinger.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Carri Sue in 2002.
