Sadie Howard, age 60, of Lefor, ND passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND after an extensive illness.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 10:30 am at the Centennial Chapel, 700 2nd Ave South in Hettinger, ND. Pastor Travis Baker will officiate with the burial to follow in the Hettinger Cemetery.

Serving as casketbearers are Trampus Parr, Robert Kelsay, Oscar Franco, Eric Crisp, Vinnie Centaur, and Troy Taraba.

SADIE JO GADDIS was born on August 12, 1955 in Jefferson, Georgia to Myron B. and Cora (Gaddis) Gaddis. She grew up and attended school in Jefferson. As a young woman, Sadie worked at a day care and was also a seamstress at several different sewing plants in the area. She married Lewis Parr and three children, Sheila, Trampus, and Jason, were born to this union.

In 1992 she was united in marriage to Jerry Howard in North Carolina. They lived in Georgia for a while before moving to North Dakota in 2003, where they have resided in Lefor since 2008. She was baptized at, and attended, Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Dickinson.

She is survived by her husband Jerry, Lefor, ND; sons, Trampus (Anita) Parr, Belfield, ND; Jason Parr, Georgia; daughter, Sheila (Ron) Ayers, Commerce, Georgia; step-children, Jerry, Jr., Georgia; Joy Janine (Vinnie) Centaur, Tennessee; brother Terry (Sharon) Gaddis, Georgia; sister, Louise (Bobby) McDaniels, Jefferson, GA; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Sadie was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial has been established by the family.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 1-7pm at the Centennial Chapel in Hettinger, ND.
