ROSELLA MARIE HONEYMAN was born to Earl and Nora (Kouba) Honeyman on October 30, 1938 in Regent, ND. She graduated from Regent High School and went on to attain a one year teaching certificate from Dickinson College. Rosella taught one year at a country school north of Regent. On February 5, 1959 she married her high school sweetheart, James Anderson. Jim and Rosella made their home on the Anderson Farm south of Regent. From this union three daughters were born: Kim Carol, Marcia LaRae, and Patsy Jane.
Rosella was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Regent where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of Hannah Circle. She was also a member of the Regent Homemaker's Club. Rosella loved working with people and would share her lefse making skills with students at the Regent High School. She would often serve as a 4-H judge at the County Fair and at Speech and Demonstration events. Rosella was an avid gardener and especially enjoyed trying to grow the largest pumpkin in the country, of which she was successful on many occasions. Raising poultry was another of her obsessions. She enjoyed guineas, teals, ducks, exotic chickens, geese, peacocks, and turkeys. She also raised and released pheasants.
Twenty-five years ago Jim and Rosella began running Fin and Feather Farmstead Bed and Breakfast allowing hunters to enjoy the benefits of their hard work and love of nature. Along with her bed and breakfast, Rosella shared her artistic side, designing many pheasant feather crafts. Her handiwork also included crocheting and painting. In the outdoors, Rosella loved to fish and she was a good shot with a .22 caliber rifle.
