Rose Ellen Moshovsky was born on December 2, 1929 to Joseph and Emily (Vajner) Moshovsky in Miles City, Montana. She was raised along side one brother and two sisters. She was a spirited youth who participated in many school activities. More than once she led her basketball team to a victory. It was on her senior prom night, her love asked for her hand in marriage. On June 7, 1948 Simon J. Greff married Rose in Miles City, MT. Sam and Rose settled in Regent, ND where they raised nine children.
Rose's life was filled with many talents and joys. When her days weren't busy raising her kids she enjoyed drawing, baking, gardening, her greenhouse, bowling and fishing. She participated in 4-H and school projects with her children, teaching them the art of Valentines boxes and blue ribbon cookies. Rose never let her children out the door without the complex designs of a homemade Halloween costume. 29 grandchildren filled her house with love and laughter. Her years were filled with family reunions, births, and weddings. Rose especially loved a spirited game of cards, "don't forget your quarters". Yet, even her children or the weather would not keep her from a game of BINGO.
Rose was a deeply religious person. Attending daily mass and sharing her love of God with her family were important to her. Her trips to Germany, Italy, and Spain to see the Pope, Lourdes, and Fatima were very special to her.
