Funeral services for Ronald Schwartz, 55, formerly of New England, ND will be Friday, September 28, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Redeemers Lutheran Church in New England. Rev. Jerry Erickson will officiate. Visitations will be from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Hettinger and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday morning.

RONALD DALE "Ronnie" SCHWARTZ was born on September 19, 1952 in Dickinson, ND to Leroy and Evelyn (Lenhardt) Schwartz. Ronnie grew up in New England, ND and lived there his entire life. He graduated from New England High School in 1970. Ronnie married Londa Miller in December of 1980. He worked for Schwartz Construction as a heavy equipment operator/dragline operator for many years. Ronnie was known as one of the top dragline operators in the state. He later went to work for K&K Manufacturing in New England in 2001 and was employed there until his illness with cancer. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting deer and pheasants.


Ronnie passed away at the West River Regional Medical Center in Hettinger on Monday, Sept. 24, 2007.


Grateful for sharing in his life are his mother, Evelyn (Jerry) Rice, Taylor, ND; his son, Jason Schwartz, Fargo, ND; sister, Debbie Dannenfelzer, Hettinger, ND; brother, Darrin Erickson, of Bismarck, ND; aunt and uncle, Betty and Barry Stevens, Hettinger, ND; two nieces, two nephews and two great-nephews. Preceding Ronnie in death were his father, Leroy Schwartz, a brother, Terry and his grandparents.
