Roger Frank Allen Rokusek was born in Burt, ND on March 14, 1940 to Wesley and Bertha (Haberstroh) Rokusek. He passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 in Mott, ND.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Mott. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Roger grew up on a farm and attended Mott Lincoln School graduating with the class of '59. After high school he joined the National Guard serving from July 20, 1962 – April 30, 1966. Roger married Ella Kirschemann, his wife of 53 years, on September 23, 1961. They went on to have four beautiful daughters together. They farmed and milked cows north of Burt for 27 years where he taught his daughters to work hard and to respect and appreciate everything in life. Roger and Ella moved to Bismarck in 1989 and returned to Mott in 2012.

Roger worked for Kirschemann Trucking until he got his own truck and spent the next five years hauling Coca-Cola and gravel. He especially loved trucking when he got to take one of his grandchildren with him. Roger enjoyed wood working, playing cards, going downtown for coffee, was an avid map reader, and loved watching or reading any western he could find. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as they were all precious to him and he enjoyed every minute he had with them.

Roger is survived on this earth by his wife, Ella , Mott, ND; daughters, Rhonda (Steve) Fox, Arizona; Sherry (Kerry) Mosbrucker, Mott, ND; Sandra Richter, Mott, ND; Robin (Mark) Starck, Bismarck, ND; son-in-law Robin Richter, Beulah, ND; grandchildren, Donald Mosbrucker, Magen (Scott) Miller, Alan Mosbrucker , all of Mott, ND; Brandi Richter and Mariah Richter, Beulah, ND; Haley Starck and Wyatt Starck, Bismarck, ND; great-grandchildren, Charlee and Claire Miller, Mott, ND; Emmett Mosbrucker, Mott, ND; and Kynleigh Richter, Beulah, ND.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Milton; his brother-in-law Ron Swenson; and his great granddaughter Caydee Miller.
