Roderick "Rick" McNeill, age 74, of Mott, ND, passed away on Saturday morning, June 25, 2022 at the Western Horizons Care Center in Hettinger, ND.

Rick was born on December 12, 1947 to Rose (Auer) and Charles "Chuck" McNeill at Gress Maternity Home in Mott, ND.  He attended Mott Elementary and graduated from Mott Lincoln High School in 1965.

Rick then entered the U.S. Army in Sept of 1965.   He was stationed in Korea and Ft. Hood Texas and honorably discharged as a Sergeant in Sept of 1968.  Following his military service he then attended NDSCS in Wapheton and received a degree as an electronics technician.  After graduation Rick worked for Bell Telephone for a year.

In 1971 he married Cheryl Peters.  They made their home in Mott, ND where Rick worked as a salesman and manager at Hersruds, Inc.  Two children were born; Rory (Denise), and Rebecca (Brian Zimmerman).

Rick is survived by his wife Cheryl, sister Charlene (Charlie) Lyman, son Rory (Denise) and daughter Rebecca (Brian) Zimmerman, granddaughter Rielley McNeill, grandson Adam Zimmerman, niece Heather Lyman Reese, and nephews Barry Kelly, Justin and Steven McNeill.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ronald "Cookie" and Scott, and nephew Brock Lyman.

Cremation has taken place and private burial services with military honors will be held.
