The Rosary Service for Robert Wilbur, age 45, of Rapid City, SD, will be held at 1:30 p.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Bison, SD. Fr. Tony Grossenburg will officiate and following a time of fellowship and refreshments, burial will follow in the Chance Cemetery south of Meadow, SD.


Robert Allen Wilbur was born on December 24, 1966 in Chicago, IL. His family moved to Bison, SD where Robert attended grade school and high school. Following his schooling, Robert moved to Rapid City, SD where he met Bonnie Smith. Together they had two daughters, Erica and Melissa Wilbur. Robert thought the world of his daughters.


Robert's hobbies included fixing computers and radios. He will be greatly missed.


Robert passed away on Wednesday evening, August 22, 2012 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.


He is survived by his mother, Cleo Wilbur, Bison, SD; two daughters, Erica Wilbur and Melissa Wilbur, both of Rapid City, SD; two sisters, Donna Wilbur, Summerset, SD and Janet Chattin, Chicago, IL; one brother, Michael Wilbur, in Wisconsin; and step-brother, Bryon Blank, St. Louis, MO.


Robert was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Lewton.
