The Memorial Services for Robert J. Meyer, age 72, of Hettinger will be 10:30am Tuesday, November 28, at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Hettinger with Pastor Robert Boxrud officiating.


ROBERT JAMES MEYER was born on September 7, 1934 at Owosso, MI to Fred William and Laura (Busch) Meyer. Bob grew up on the dairy farm in Superior Township. He graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1953 and earned a trip to Europe for dairy judging. After attending Eastern Michigan University for two years, he pursued a career in the electrical field.

Bob was united in marriage to Carol Baker at Belleville, MI on January 25, 1957. As a self-employed Master Electrician, he enjoyed traveling, trains, freedoms of the Second Amendment, and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Bob passed away in peace at home in Hettinger on Saturday, November 25, 2006.

Grateful for having shared his life are his children, James of Hettinger, ND; Kurt of Gillette, WY; Erika (Kevin) Pagel, Hettinger, ND; and Carol Meyer, of Longview, TX; 3 granddaughters, Emily, Carly and Jamie Kay; 1 sister, Ardea (Jerry) Gibson, in Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
