Robert William (Bobby) Price was born on August 26, 1928 to Robert Armstrong and Florence Hadley Price at Spearfish, S.D. Bobby had 4 sisters Lucille, Adele, Maurine, and Arlene. He lived all his life at Maurine, S.D. As a young man he played softball, trained horses, and drove truck for his Dad. He attended school at Red Top where he was taught by his oldest sister Lucille and others. His 9th year he was home schooled, as his Mom and Dad took him to Newell to attend his first year of high school and he returned home before they made it back from town! He attended half his sophomore year in Newell before returning home to stay. He married Earleen Schuelke on October 27th, 1950. Not only did he have the love of his life by his side but gained 12 more 'brothers and sisters' that would be a very special part of his life. Bobby and Earleen's first home was a basement house behind the Maurine dance hall. After Garold Robert and Bobbie Charmagne were born, they moved 1 mile south and built a new basement house. Then along came Valorie Kay, the youngest. Neither house had running water at first, so water was brought from the well and the outhouse was used until 1961.

Bobby ran Hereford cows on his ranch. With Earleen's help he continued running the Maurine Store after his Dad passed away. He owned the Bobby Price trucking business and hauled livestock, coal and grains. Coal was the worst, as he had to shovel it through windows and down chutes, breaking the larger pieces, it was a dirty job. He almost returned to school because of it!

Bob loved to be with his family. He taught us to ice skate and fish. He and Earleen loved watching the kids in all their school sporting events, plays, and concerts. Rarely did they miss a one. Bob enjoyed playing many a pitch games at home, at the neighbors and in town. He loved to play cribbage and schooled many in the game, including his kids and grandkids. If you ever beat Grandpa, it was a celebration 'cause it didn't happen often! A round of whist or canasta was also a favorite.

Bobby had a love for animals, especially horses. He made sure all the family had the opportunity to ride. He enjoyed the rodeos. He hardly ever missed a Faith Stock Show or Newell Labor Day Rodeo. You always knew Bob would be in the stands if one of the kids or grandkids were entered up. He spent many hours in the practice arena with them all. Making sure they turned the barrel or pole just right or threw the rope just so. The high school football and basketball games always brought him to town, and he just might get in another pitch game before or after the game!

Bobby's family and friends were the treasures of his life. He is in our hearts and with us forever.
