Philip Resner, age 86, long-time Hettinger resident, passed away at home Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

Phil was born in Prosser, Washington February 3, 1939, to Arthur and Mildred Resner.

Some eighteen months later he was joined by his sister Barbara, the family moved back to Reeder while Phil was a toddler and in 1950, he gained a brother Mark.

Phil attended Reeder Elementary and graduated from Reeder High School in 1957.  Phil spent two years in the US Army.

He married Betty Christman on November 6, 1961and the couple welcomed their son Reed in 1964. Phil was employed by Pepsi-Cola Bottling in Hettinger for more than forty years and served as General Manager at the time of his retirement in May 2004.

Phil started Resner Trucking in 1984 and was proud to be joined in the business by both his son and many years later his grandson who now proudly drives Phil's Peterbilt.

Phil is survived by his wife Betty of 64 years, Son Reed (Carla) Resner; Granddaughter Reba Resner; Grandson Tate (Caitlyn) Resner; Sister Barb Skogen; Brother Mark (Cyndi) Resner;

Half-sisters, Dawn (Ron) Stary, Renee Resner and Rhonda Resner; half brother, Rodney Resner; Brother- in- laws Robert (Linda) Christman; Chuck (Kerry) Christman; Don Redeen and one sister-in-law Donna Kendall, along with many nieces, nephews and family friends.

He is proceeded in death by his Parents Arthur and Mildred; In- laws John and Blenda Christman; Sister- in- law Marlyn Redeen; Brother- in- Laws Bruce Skogen and Doug
