Peter J. Bader age 87 of Mott, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Mott Good Samaritan Society in Mott, ND.

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to the time of a memorial service at 3:00pm at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Mott on Saturday, January 13, 2018. Pastor John Amundson will officiate. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Sunnyslope Cemetery in Mott.

PETER J. BADER was born on May 25, 1930 north of Carson, ND. He was the oldest of eight children born to Jacob "Jack" and Frances (Wolff) Bader. Pete was working for Adolf Sprecher when he met Esther Mayer in 1956. Pete and Esther were united in marriage on September 29, 1957 in Mott, ND. They moved to the Mayer farm south of Mott where they farmed and ranched together. Their son Gordon and daughter-in-law, Debbie later took over the operation.

In October 2017, Pete resided at St. Gabriel's in Bismarck and on December 18, 2017 he moved to the Mott Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home.

He enjoyed fishing and loved to travel.

Surviving family members include his wife, Esther, son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Debbie Bader, all of Mott, ND; 3 brothers, Albert Bader, Elgin, ND; Frank (Eileen) Bader, Minot, ND; Edwin (Irene) Bader, Bismarck, ND; 2 sisters, Cecelia Renker, Yankton, SD; Pauline Bader, Carson, ND; and a brother-in-law, Chris Mayer, Rapid City, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Joe and Valentine Bader, brother-in-law, Jim Renker, and a niece Jody Bader.
