PAULINE SCHOCH was born on January 2, 1931 in Schefield, ND to Jerome and Emma (Binstock) Schoch, the eldest of 14 children. She grew up on the family farm helping with the chores, cooking and caring for her siblings. She later became a nurse's aide and worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Dickinson, ND.
Pauline met the love of her life, Bernard Candrian, at a baseball game and on September 1, 1955 they were united in marriage. They made their home on their farm in Regent, ND raising their 8 children and keeping busy with farming, dairy cows, planting their vegetable gardens and flower beds.
Faith and family were two of Pauline's strong points in life. She cherished the times spent with family and friends, having her coffee dates, quilting, canning, making handmade items for her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, baking, her "Sister Weekends", and working at the Regent Co-op Grocery store as a baker. She especially enjoyed the farm life; sitting on the front porch in the peace and quiet to enjoy her wind chimes and all the natural beauty the good Lord had put in front of her.
Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Bernard; 8 children Kevin (Cindy) Candrian, Killdeer, ND; Junella (Dwight) Gustin, Bismarck, ND; Jerelynn (Dale) Meek, Adkins, TX; Kent Candrian, Lefor, ND; Jolyn (Steve) Dohman, Campbell, MN; Joletta (Robert) Drake, Kalamazoo, MI; Kerry (Toni) Candrian, Minot, ND; Julie (Mark) Wetzstein, Bismarck, ND; 17 grandchildren, Brittany (Steve) Miller, Jeremy and Brodie Candrian, Ben, Nathan and Jonathan Gustin, Garret Meek, Tory (Zeb) Kinsel, Lindsay Meek, Amanda, Andrew and Annie Dohman, Emma Drake, Hannah and Grace Candrian, Ashley and Wyatt Wetzstein; 6 great grandchildren Stella, Harper and Crosby Miller, Connor and Landon Dahl, Kash and Keeghan (10/2016) Kinsel; 13 brothers and sisters Alice (Lawrance) Candrian, Ron (Dolores) Schoch, Sr. Ann Schoch, Sr. Ivo Schoch, Ivo (Joan) Schoch, Veronica (Tony) Weber, Rita (Rod) Anheluk, Leona (Bonnie) Knopik, Clara (Richard) Greff, Beasy (Howie) McGlothlin, Alton Schoch, Melvin (Silvia) Schoch, Callen (Janel) Schoch; brothers and sisters- in-laws Charles (Lorraine) Candrian, Mike Sullivan, Eleanor Candrian; and numerous nieces and nephews.
