Following the death of his brother, Noel returned to Lemmon to help his parents run the ranch. He later purchased a neighboring ranch and continued farming and ranching, along with doing custom ranch work for area neighbors.
In 1994 Noel was involved in an accident, but was able to remain on the farm, being cared for by his family and continue with the ranch life he loved. He loved to ski and helped with Ski for Light, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved taking photos, and sharing them with people and putting a smile on their face was his greatest joy.
