Mass of Christian Burial for Minnie Privratsky, 87, of Hettinger, ND will be Friday, July 8, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hettinger. Fr. John Mathai will officiate and burial will follow at the Hettinger Cemetery. Visitations will be from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Hettinger and one hour prior to the service at the church. A Rosary/Wake service will be held at the church Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.


MINNIE BINSTOCK was born on July 31, 1917 at New Hradec, ND to Louie and Katherine (Bren) Binstock. She grew up and was educated at a rural school near New Hradec. Minnie was united in marriage to Steve Privratsky on July 7, 1937 at St Peter and Paul Church in New Hradec. They moved to the South Heart and Belfield area where they farmed and raised a family of eight children. In 1965 they moved to a farm northeast of Hettinger, until 1984, they retired and moved to Hettinger. Minnie worked in her home as a homemaker and seamstress. Her hobbies were crocheting, embroidering, baking and gardening. Her husband Steve passed away on September 10, 2002. Minnie continued to live at their home in Hettinger until February of 2005, when she moved into the Western Horizon Apartments. When her health failed she moved to Dickinson, ND to the St. Benedict's Health Care Center. Minnie passed from this life there on July 3, 2005.


She is survived by her daughters, Delores (Harold) Messmer of Lemmon, SD, Mary Kay (Allen) Whitehead of Columbia Falls, MT and Debbie (Roy) Hofland of Beulah, ND; sons, Lewis (Linda) of Hettinger, ND, Larry of Newell, SD, Steven (Lori) of Hettinger and Jeff (Linda) of Glendive, MT; 22 grandchildren, Pam Barrett, Dean (Dora) Volesky, Corrine (Lee) Pavlicek, Rodney (Jami) Messmer, Robbie (Tonjua) Messmer, Roxanne (Curtis) Johnson, Rochelle (Mike) Jennings, Derek (Susie), Sarah, Corey Privratsky, Dean (Tamara) Whitehead, Cristen (Blain) Birmingham, Jami Whitehead, Shauna (Mark) Pierce, Jeremy, Tyler Hofland, Scott (Carmen), Mark, Jason Privratsky, Ryan, Andrea and Michael Privratsky; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Rose Steffan, Anna and Josephine Privratsky, Lillian Splichal, Dorothy Kostelecky, Martha Dukart and Katie Buresh. Preceding Minnie in death were her parents Louie and Katherine, her husband Steve, a daughter, Betty Jane, an infant son, a granddaughter, Renee and one sister, Mildred.
