Obituary

Mildred A. (Imhoff) Iszler, age 84, of Shields, ND passed away on September 5, 2016 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.
Millie was born on January 16, 1932, the daughter of Emanuel and Magdalena (Schiable) Imhoff in Elgin, ND. She was a middle child in a family of two sisters and three brothers. She attended school in New Leipzig,, ND where she participated in sports, music and cheerleading.

Millie married Elden Iszler on August 28, 1950. They moved to the farm in Shields where they had three daughters, Judy, Carol, and Debbie. She lived the life of a farmer's wife and mother, working with livestock, milking cows, and cooking for family and friends. Sundays were always a time for family and friends to get together. Millie belonged to the Shields Congregational Church Ladies Aid where they had the finest cooks who prepared suppers once a month for many years.

She loved to play cards and Bingo with her closest friend Arlene Bahm, they were known as the "Golden Girls" on the road again. But most importantly, she loved to play the game of marbles (Aggravation) and pinocle. When her siblings and their spouses would come from Montana they would spend a week or so, and they would play into the "wee" hours of the morning. Such excitement and the blood pressure was raised, she loved her game shows on TV, they were her favorites.

Millie is survived by the Kind and Caring people of the Shields community; daughters, Judy (Tim) Tischmak, Raleigh, ND, Carol (Wayne) Hirschi, Billings, MT and Debbie (Frank) Landeis, Selfridge, ND; one sister, Donna (Mike) Cates, Billings, MT; two brothers, Elmer (Von) Imhoff, Sydney, MT and Arvin (Kolene) Imhoff, TX; one sister-in-law Shirley (Willie) Billings MT; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a soon to be unborn great-grandson named Elden Gabriel Landeis due in late October as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
