Michele Lensegrav, 66, of Shadehill, SD passed away at the West River Regional Medical Center in Hettinger, ND on Thursday, January 28, 2021.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm MT Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Gallaway Cemetery south of Meadow, SD with Pastor Harold Delbridge, officiating.

MICHELE LYN PLOOG was born on July 24, 1954 in Elgin, ND to Kenneth Richard and Betty Lou (Norton) Ploog. As a kid she lived on the family farm located between Shadehill and Meadow. Michele attended Hay Hill Country School up until about the 8 ^th grade.  She then moved to the Thunder Hawk-Lemmon area where she attended Lemmon High School graduating in 1972.  She was very well liked amongst her fellow classmates.

She spoke very fondly of her grandparents Henry and Mayme Ploog who provided much support, role modeling and encouragement in her upbringing.

Following high school she attended college in Denver, CO for a period of time.  She later moved to Texas.  She worked numerous jobs such as bookkeeping, accounting, and worked on a farm studying and controlling insects. She and friend also operated a bakery for some time.  She acquired a social life and made many friends while in Texas.

After her mother passed away in 2011, Michele moved from Big Springs, TX to Shadehill, SD. She was united in marriage to Loren Lensegrav on October 15, 2016.  Their home at Shadehill and the RV Park they owned and operated there, were her main priority.  She loved the country life and was very content there.  The RV Park brought her much enjoyment and made many new friends.

Surviving are her husband, Loren of Shadehill, SD; her sister, Pam Meyer of Cherokee, TX; 2 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law Mike and Benita Ploog of Amarillo, TX; Keith and Sammi Ploog of Canyon Lake, TX; a Goddaughter, Stevie Brewer, Delhart; TX; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.  She had a very big heart, was loved by many, and will be missed by all.  She has gone on to a better place, until we meet again, may she rest in peace.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Mayme Ploog and her parents.
