MICHAEL ALVIN FREY was born in Fargo, ND on September 2, 1976 for Albert and Darlene (Zimbelman) Frey.  He was raised on a farm NE of Burt, ND and therefore, being raised on a farm, had a love of animals, especially cats and his 4-H pig, Oscar.  Michael became involved in the Hettinger County 4-H (Flickertail) and together Michael and Oscar won the Grand Championship at the Lemmon Jr. Livestock show because Michael had taught Oscar tricks.

Michael never met a stranger twice and he always made you feel important and welcome with a nice handshake.  He always had a story to tell.  He loved to go to auction sales and had the ability to find you something to buy that you never knew you needed.  He would talk to a complete stranger and if they had an old car, he would run to his dad and tell him and then they both had made a new friend.  Michael was an avid coin collector and belonged to the Capital City Coin Club in Bismarck.  He and his dad went to many car shows, including the Classics on Wheels show in Mott.  He was in the process of restoring a 1961 T-Bird, had a train collection,  and a cap collection that you would not believe.

Michael graduated from Mott Lincoln High School in 1996 and went on to attend the Quentin Burdick Job Corps and learned to become a parts sales person.  He worked for the City of Mott and the Mott Napa store.  After moving to Bismarck, he worked at Eide Ford, which was the former Corwin Churchill, and now called Eide Chrysler, the same business, for the past 23 years.

He is survived by his parents Albert and Darlene Frey, Mott, ND; sisters Melissa (Allan) Reisenauer, Bismarck, ND; Maggie (Ross) Backen, Minot, ND, two nieces Brooklynn and Isabelle, one nephew Oliver, godmother Helen Rieneke, and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents, and two brothers Marty and Matthew.
