Memorial service for Micah Keith Wolff will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hettinger Lutheran Church. Rev. Robert Boxrud will officate.
MICAH KEITH WOLFF was born on April 27th, 2010 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls to Courtney Wolff. He was born 3 months premature.
Due to his early arrival, he was put into the Neonatal faculty to get the help he much needed to survive. He had beaten all the odds by being born alive. He was a miracle all in his own right, for he was gods little miracle. He came into this world at 9 ounces and 8 1/4 inches long.
Micah could tell when his mom was coming for a visit. He would begin to move and squirm and would grab her finger and then become almost tranquil and sedate. Micah and his mom took great comfort and pleasure in each others company.
He was a fighter from the moment he was born and fought a brave battle until he went to God, Micah passed away after living 71 hours, one hour short of the first critical 72 hours. He peacefully passed away with his mother holding him.
He will forever be engrained in our memories and our hearts forever. He touched many lives in his brief time on earth. He was affectionately known in the neo-natal unit as the little miracle. And as such touched and enriched lives. He was taken away from us much to soon. But God must have been in need a little guardian angel to watch over someone else.
