Mary V. Kauffmann, age 89 of Lemmon, passed away on Monday evening, October 11, 2021 at Five Counties Nursing Home in Lemmon.

There will be a public visitation on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 10:00am to 1:30pm at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon.  A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm at Greenhill Cemetery in Lemmon with Pastor Florence Hoff, officiating.

Mary V. Ross was born on September 20, 1932 in Cannon City, Missouri to Nelson Patrick and Grace Nellie (Prouisaw) Ross.  She was united in marriage to Arlan Brekke on June 6, 1953.  Four children were born to this union, Mary Ann, Andrew Paul, Joseph Arlan, and Cletus James.  The Brekkes resided north of Lemmon for many years.  They eventually moved into Lemmon where Terry Tiger Brekke became part of the family as a foster child.

Junior passed away on in 1985.  Later on Mary married Roy Kauffmann.  Mary entered Five Counties Nursing Home in Lemmon on March 26, 2020.

Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Roger Breske, Pierre, SD; son, Andrew Paul Brekke, address unknown, son and daughter-in-law, Cletus and Pam Brekke, Tupelo, Mississippi, and numerous grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arlan Brekke Jr; her husband, Roy Kauffmann, and her sons, Joseph Arlan Brekke and Terry Tiger Brekke.
