Mark Andrew Sandwick, 77, of Lemmon, SD, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismark, ND.

He was born January 1, 1947 to Andrew and Lucinda Sandwick in Lemmon, SD.  He worked on the family ranch and graduated from Lemmon High School in 1964.  Next, he graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with a degree in Metallurgy, then served as an officer in the U.S. Army.  He moved to Arizona and worked until retirement from the American Smelting And Refining Company.  He maintained a secondary residence in Lemmon, spending time each summer helping neighbors until finally fully relocating back to Lemmon, SD.  He enjoyed the outdoors, westerns and the lifestyle, reading books, and his pets.

Mark is survived by his two children Erik Sandwick and Mark Sandwick and his four grandchildren:  Sarah (Sandwick) Cabrera, Jon Sandwick, Rebecca Sandwick, and Jessica (Sandwick) Davis.

Per Mark's wishes, cremation has taken place and no public services will be held.
