Mark R. Kissick age 26 of Berthoud, CO (formerly Belle Fourche) died Friday May 11, 2007 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO

The funeral service will be held 11am Thursday at the Christian Life Center in Belle Fourche with Rev. Paul Howard officiating. Visitation will be held 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at the Black Hills National Cemetery, near Sturgis, with military honors provided by the Belle Fourche Honor Guard.

Mark Riley Kissick was born August 26, 1980 in Spearfish South Dakota. He was the son of Mark and Vivian (Riley) Kissick. Mark grew up in the Belle Fourche area where he attended school. On September 23, 2000 he was united in marriage to Rebecca Lindstad at the Christian Life Center in Belle Fourche. Following their marriage, Mark served his country in the U.S. Navy for five years. During 2 ½ years he was stationed in the Persian Gulf on the U.S.S. Constellation. He also helped with tsunami relief in the Thailand area. In 2005 he was honorably discharged and since then he and Rebecca have lived in Berthoud, Colorado. For the past 2 years he has worked as a Derrick Hand for Ensign Drilling, near Berthoud CO.

Mark was born with a charismatic personality. Once you met him, he would never be forgotten. Mark was also born for thrills and adventure. Pretty much everything he did was given with 110 percent effort and "wide open". He enjoyed dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, his pick up truck, and snowboarding. He also had much love for his two boys and loved spending time with them. He will be greatly missed.

Mark is survived by his wife, Rebecca and their two boys, Riley and Ian all of Berthoud, CO; his mother Vivian (and Guy) Carr of Rozet WY; his father, Mark Kissick of Orterville, Utah; step-brother, Dane (JaNel) Carr of Rozet WY; sisters, Desirae Carr, Irish (Kenny) Meredith, and Erin (Joe) Morris all from Rozet WY; maternal grandmother, Barb Riley of Belle Fourche; step-grandparents, Rita and Frank Carr of Montana; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and 8 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gilbert Riley; paternal grandparents, Irish Kissick and Katie Loose; and uncle, Ames Kissick.
