Marion Jean VandenBurg, 86, went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on June 22, 2023. She was born on April 29, 1937 in Freda, North Dakota to E. Milton Grudem and Palma (Nesja) Grudem. She was married to Ronald VandenBurg on September 4, 1956 and had 4 children. She enjoyed her family, singing, crocheting, knitting, playing piano or organ, and reading. She had been an active member of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Missionary society, 4-H leader, Homemakers, and the Flasher Gun Club. She also enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's events.

Marion is survived by her four daughters, Cynthia Swimley, Flasher, ND; Diana (Vincent) Lewis, Denver, CO; Ronda (Donald/Rocky) Deichert, Flasher, ND; and Gwenda Teunis, Grand Rapids, MI; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Jewel Hervey, Bismarck, ND; 2 brothers, Marvin (Sue) Grudem, Redding, CA; and Raymond (LuCretia) Grudem, Argusville, ND; 2 sister-in-laws, JoAnn Vandenburg, Grand Rapids, MI; Genevieve Miller-Elsner, Vancouver, BC, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, E. Milton and Palma Grudem; her husband, Ronald VandenBurg; and infant grandson, Seth Lewis.

A memorial service will be held August 12, 2023 at 2:00 CST, (1:00 MST) at United Church of Christ, 96 N. Main, Flasher, ND with burial at the Lark Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Flasher High School north gym.
