Marie Ann Ebner was born December 8, 1929, to Nick and Mary (Schneider) Ebner on the family homestead 18 miles northwest of Mott, ND. She was the second of three children. Marie attended a country school near her home. Following her schooling, Marie, began helping her parents with the family ranching operation. Eventually, with her brother Pete and his family, they continued the ranching business their parents started.
Marie was an excellent cook and baker, making all her own homemade bread. She loved to garden and would can all the fruits and vegetables she grew every year. She also made marvelous strudels. She was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society. When it came to running the ranch, she was a top notch ""ranch woman"" and she made sure every chore was done just right.
Marie spent most of her life on the ranch, where she was born. She entered the Mott Good Samaritan Society on February 1, 2013, but never forgot about her beloved four legged friend and companion, Rudy. Marie passed away there on Sunday, March 10, 2013.
She is survived by her beloved companion, Rudy; one brother, Pete (Kathy) Ebner, Mott, ND; two nephews, Dusty (Holly) Ebner and Jayme Ebner, both of Mott, ND; and three cousins, Leona Schiwal, Raymond Kurtz and Nick Paul.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Ann Ebner.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 15, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Mott, followed by a Rosary/Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at St. Vincent's Catholic Church.
