Margaret (Charlie) Nilsen, age 52, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Margaret, known as "Charlie" by all her friends, was born on May 2, 1953 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Daniel and Eleanor Beaver Longhat. She grew up in Binger, Oklahoma and graduated from Chickasha High School in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She worked at various jobs in Oklahoma and Montana. While in Montana, she met and married Roger Nilsen on June 18, 1981 at Glasgow. The couple worked on farms and in the oil fields in Bowdle, South Dakota. They moved to Hulett, Wyoming in 1991, where she lived until her death. She was an avid Football and NASCAR fan. In addition to being a house wife, she had worked in restaurants and as a flagger on road construction.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Roger at the family home in Hulett, one daughter, Kristy (Brad) Scribner of Gillette, one step-daughter Debbie (Greg) McNalley of Helena, MT, one step-son Jamie Nilsen of Missoula, MT, four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son and one daughter.

Funeral services for Margaret will be held on Friday, October 7, 2005 at the Hulett Civic Center at 1:30 PM. Services are under the direction of the Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. There will be a social time following the services.

On Saturday, October 8, 2005 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 pm visitation will be at Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon, SD, with a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Greenhill Cemetery.
