Madonna Schatz, 89, died at the Monarch Hospice Care in Lincoln, NE on October 1, 2019. Madonna was born in Mott, North Dakota on July 31, 1930 to John and Anna Krebs and lived with her parents in Regent until her marriage to Roland (Ron) Schatz on September 8, 1947. Madonna and Ron resided in Bismarck and Fargo, until moving to Grand Island, NE in 1968. She worked with Ron, Agency Manager with State Farm Insurance as secretary for the agency.

After Ron's death in 2005, Madonna resided at Legacy Estates in Lincoln and enjoyed playing cards, as well as spending time with her family. Madonna was soft-spoken and committed to her family.

Madonna is survived by her 3 sons and their spouses, Robert and Meylonie Schatz of Lincoln, NE, Bill and Delores Schatz of rural David City, NE and Jim and Dory Schatz of Spirit Lake Iowa.

Graveside service for Madonna will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Regent Cemetery with Pastor John Amundson officiating.
