LYNN ROGER WOLFF was born at 10:15 pm on July 7, 1945 to Emil and Mary (Hettman) Wolff.  He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Regent High School on May 22, 1963.  After graduation, he joined the US Army National Guard, working as a cook as a member of the Company C 131 st Engineer Battalion.

In 1971 Lynn started work at the American Colloid Company.  He retired from that company in 2011 after 30 years of hard work.  While upholding his full time job at Colloid, he operated his own farm and ranch.  A lot of hard work and sweat went into the farm, which he was able to successfully operate on his own.  He loved his cattle and treated them as part of his family, especially his pet cow "Sophie".

Lynn drove school bus for the Hettinger School District up until the day of his stroke on December 10, 2020.  His bus students were so special to him and he loved this job immensely.  When he did have some free time, Lynn loved to go fishing, go to auction sales and a pull on the slot machine handle every once in awhile.

"You are with me" I told the Lord, "my journey long."  The Lord said "I choose the length."  I told Him, "but I am faint and weak", and He replied, "I will give you strength."  No matter what my words, God heard while listening patiently, but what has meant the most is this, "my Father walks with me."

Welcoming him at Heaven's Gate are his parents, brothers Alton, Tony and Darrell Wolff, sister Mary Ann Wolff, nephew Seth Wolff, and special friend Kay Smyle.

Lynn is survived by his four daughters, Amy (Joe) Horn, Florida; Becky (Corey) Johnson, Mott, ND; Marcy (Mike) Jorda, Fargo, ND; Jessy (Chris) Chap, Fargo, ND; 11 grandchildren, Brandon, Maddi, and Sophie Johnson; Ryder, Willa, and Brodey Horn; Emma, Mia, and Hadley Jorda; and Grady and Maxwell Chap; brothers Rodney (Lori), Allen, and Bradley Wolff, sisters Karen and Denyce Wolff, Cheryl (Steve) Swenson and Charlotte West, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and special angel friend Denise Luchsinger.
