LYDIA REICH was born on January 31, 1915 at Medina, ND, the daughter of Christ and Mathilda (Gill) Reich. She grew up on the family farm north of Burt, ND and went to school in Solon Township. Lydia married Emil Imhoff on July 23, 1937. They bought a farm and started their life together, raising crops, milking cows and tending to chickens. Lydia worked hard but was always positive and had a smile. A new house was built on the farm in 1944 and she always had flowers around it. She enjoyed her church and was a Sunday School Teacher. Lydia also did quilting and crocheting. Lydia's husband Emil died on August 28, 1987. She lived in Mott for few years before entering the Good Samaritan Nursing Center in 2005. Lydia continued to enjoy playing cards with her friends and being a part of the Red Hat Society. She dearly loved her grandchildren and always had time for them.

Lydia Imhoff was called home on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Mott, ND.

She is survived by her son, Delmar Imhoff, Bismarck, ND; grandchildren, Darrell Imhoff, Regent, ND and Kristina Imhoff, Minot, ND; sister Martha Bauer, Washington; two great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Lydia Reich and Lucille Reich; brother-in-law, Wally Huether; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
