Loren E. Voll, 91, Elgin, ND passed away at the Jacobson Memorial Care Center with family at his side on July 10, 2021.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am MST on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Elgin with Pastor Bethany Haberstroh, officiating.  Cremation has taken place and visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at 9:00am CST on Monday, July 19, 2021 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery south of Mandan with full military honors afforded by the Mandan VFW.

LOREN EMANUEL VOLL was born August 8, 1929 on the family farm northwest of Carson, ND to Theodore and Beata (Schultz) Voll.  Loren attended area schools and helped his parents on the family farm.  As a young man, Loren enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, tinkering with all types of motors and working on vehicles.

On January 27, 1949, Loren was drafted into the US Army.  Loren served as a PFC and was honorably discharged on January 28, 1950.  He was always proud of the country he served.  After Loren came home from serving his country, he then moved to Seattle, WA where he worked for the Boeing Industry as a painter for 14 years.  He then moved back to Mott, ND where he worked at the court house and also had numerous jobs helping farmers and whoever needed help.  He always enjoyed his work and making people happy.

In June of 2011, Loren entered Dakota Hills in Elgin where he resided until September of 2017 when he was admitted to the Jacobson Memorial Care Center where he would spend the rest of his life.

Loren is survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

Loren was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Beata (Schultz) Voll, brothers, Arthur, Leonard, and Leo; sisters, Laura (Godfried) Schriock, Martha (August) Huber, and Esther (Gottlieb) Ottmar.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ND Veterans Cemetery in honor of Loren Voll.
