Linda Rae Herm-Ressler, 55, of Hettinger passed away on June 20, 2015 at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Hettinger, ND. Rev. Paul Lint will officiate and Linda's ashes will then be buried at the Hettinger Cemetery.

Linda was born on January 6, 1960. Linda and her brothers were adopted into a loving family, John and Esther (Lauritzen) Herm. Linda attended school in Hettinger until she graduated in May of 1978. Linda lived in Hettinger for many years before she moved to Rapid City to pursue a business venture. Linda chose to return to Hettinger where she continued to reside until her death.

There were many people that had the opportunity to share in Linda's life including family and friends. Family wasn't always blood in Linda's opinion. "Family" to Linda included the people who wanted her in their lives and who accepted her for who she was. Linda loved spending time with her "family" and she was thankful for everyone she considered a part of her "family". Linda had a very warm and caring heart. She would show this caring to her family in many different ways.

Linda had a soft spot for animals, especially her "girls" as she called them. Her "girls" were three cats: Missy, Molly and Sassy. These cats meant the world to Linda and they will greatly miss her time and attention.

Linda is survived by her brothers: Robert Herm, Dickinson and John "Chuck" Herm, Yankton; cousins: Sherry Long, Gary Melling, Randy Melling and Lynn Melling, Sandra (Jordan) Sivertson, Stacy (Terry) Walch, Jacob Walch, Brynlee Walch and Brooklyn Walch of Mandan and two godchildren: Parker Minh and Regan Minh, Hettinger. She was preceded in death by her mother Esther Herm and father, John Herm.
