Obituary

Lila Jeannette Hansen was born June 2, 1930 in Bentley ND to Albert and Evelyn Hanson. She graduated from Mott high school.  She married John Molbert June 19, 1949.  John and Lila farmed north of Reeder.  They were blessed with three sons, Eugene, Rodney and Perry.

Lila helped on the farm, but her real love was sewing, which she did for her family and the many people that hired her to sew for them.  Church was also a very important part of Lila's life. She was a member of the Wolf Butte Church, Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Reeder, where she was the church secretary for a time, and Hettinger Lutheran.

In 1978 they moved to Hettinger.  After moving to Hettinger Lila worked at the Ben Franklin store and then at the Eagles.  She was very active in the Eagles organization. Some of Lila's happiest times were    spending time with her grandkids. Sewing and reading were some of her favorite hobbies. Lila and John both moved into the nursing January 2, 2009.  Lila passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Western Horizons Care Center in Hettinger.

Thankful for sharing in Lila's life are two sons, Eugene (Debbie) and Perry, 8 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents, one son Rodney, husband John, one great-grandson, Dylan, and her brother, Basil.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Hettinger Cemetery in Hettinger, ND.  Debbie Molbert will officiate.
