LeRoy J. Schumacher, age 82 of Lemmon, passed away on Thursday,
September 12, 2019 at CHI St. Alexius in Bismarck, ND.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.

LeRoy James Schumacher was born on August 10, 1937 in Scranton, ND to
Eigen Schumacher and Rose Schaaf.

He grew up in the Bowman-Scranton area and attended a rural country
school.  LeRoy worked as a farm/ranch hand in the area.  He moved to
Lemmon where he worked at Geo's Corner, the Kressley Ranch and for a
construction company.

LeRoy was married to Edith "Evonne" Afrank.  Four children, Karen,
Gordon, Chandra, and Darcy were born to this union.  Evonne passed
away on March 18, 1987.

LeRoy was married to Sharon (Carmichael) Colgrove on May 23rd 1997
LeRoy worked at Wheeler Manufacturing and at various other jobs.

He loved to tinker in his garage and collect John Deere toys.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, Sharon, Lemmon, SD; 2 sons, Gordon
Schumacher, in Canada; Darcy Schumacher, Bismarck, ND; 2 daughters,
Karen (Robert) Schmidt, Bismarck, ND; Chandra (Scott) Storm, Meadow,
SD; his step-children, Corby (Deb) Colgrove, Grand Forks, ND; Rick
Colgrove, Dickinson, ND; Danita (Ed) Froelich, Lemmon, SD; Justin
(Sara) Colgrove, Denver, CO; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandson; his
mother-in-law, Esther Carmichael, Lemmon, SD; 2 sisters, Caroline
Germann, Bowman, ND; Esther (Don) Holgaard, Glenham, SD; and numerous
nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Evonne, 1 sister, Margie
Anderson.
