Services for Kohrili Joy Hoisington, 58, of Aberdeen, SD, left for the spirit world to be with her family at home in Aberdeen, SD on October 30, 2022.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon, SD.

Kohrili Joy Hoisington was born to Calvin and Margaret (White Bird) Hoisington on July 15, 1965 at Fort Yates, ND.  She went to School in McIntosh, SD until graduating in 1982.  She then went to college a the school of Hair Design until her accident in 1986 when she was partially paralyzed and lost her memory.  Her two sisters helped her learn to walk again, it was hard for Kohrili, but she pulled through.

After she was able to walk, she moved to Aberdeen and lived there until her death.  Kohrili loved working along with her best friend, Allen Evenson's side, together they were the Jack and Jill of all trades!  She was loved by all of her friends, worked with her herbal medicines and was called Doc Kohrili.

Kohrili is survived by her four siblings, Veronica Iron Thunder, Herietta Hoisington, Paul Hoisington, Sr. and Bernard Hoisington, Sr. and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Margaret (White Bird) Hoisington, one brother, Ben Iron Thunder, Sr., one sister Viola Hoisington, her grandparents, Henry and Helen (White Bird) High Cat, Clarence and Evelyn (Kempton) Hoisington, Sr., uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention.

Kohrili will be greatly missed, but no more suffering, she has gone home.
