Kevin Jordan passed from this life October 27, 2015 at The Hospice House, Rapid City SD.

Kevin John Jordan was born March 4, 1969 to Irving and LuAnne (Lyon) Jordan. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic church, Faith SD.

Kevin attended United School, Faith Elementary and graduated from Faith in 1987. He continued his education by attending South Dakota State University and Black Hills State College.

While living in the Black Hills, Kevin worked a number of different jobs eventually becoming office manager at Equipment Service Professionals. In 2002 he joined the family ranch as a partner. Kevin's skills learned from previous jobs were assets to the ranch. Also he was dedicated to improving the water supply on the ranch; Kevin spent many hours installing tanks and pipeline. Even on his toughest days, Kevin continued to work hard.

Kevin found great joy in the camaraderie of hunting and fishing with his friends. He was a lifetime Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Influenced by his brother-in-law, later Kevin became a Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed gardening, especially growing hot peppers. He used them to cook chili for the men and a milder version for "the girls". Kevin had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews. He spent time entertaining them by drawing pictures, telling stories and teasing about having a pet skunk in his pocket. His quick wit and smile will be remembered by those who met him.

The courage and tenacity that Kevin displayed during his illness was admired by those that were closest to him.

Grateful for having shared his life are his parents, Irving and LuAnne Jordan, Faith, SD; brothers, Kent (Eileen) Jordan, Wall, SD, Brett (Tara) Jordan, Faith, SD; sisters, Deborah (William) Gropper, Faith, SD, Margaret (Doug) Petersen, Lemmon, SD and Joan Jordan, Faith, SD; grandmother Margaret Lyon Reno, Lemmon, SD; nieces and nephews, John and Sam Gropper, Drew (Hayle) Petersen, Anne (Marc) Hansen, Megan Petersen, Cale Baus, Sarah and Jared Jordan, Devin Martin, Kaylee and Emma Jordan; great niece Aurora Petersen; maternal uncles, Jim (Joan), Norman (Sue) and Ralph (Shari) Lyon, Mike Schoenfelder; paternal uncle, David (Donna) Jordan; maternal aunt, Barbara (Tony) Lorenz and Barbara (Bobbie) Lyon; paternal aunts, Elsie Barnett and Ruby (David) Hanna and Irene Jordan.
