The Rosary Service for Keith Hoffman, age 75, of Lemmon, SD, will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. all at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lemmon, SD. Fr. Tony Grossenburg will officiate with burial in Greenhill Cemetery at Lemmon.

Serving as casketbearers are Bob and Ryan Hermann, Gary Wells, Pete Korang, Rod Hoffman, Darryl Dix, Nathan Nagel, and Jack Hoffman. Keith's niece, nephews, friends, and neighbors are considered honorary bearers.

Sylvester Keith Hoffman, and his younger twin sister, Esther, were born on February 12, 1941 to Daniel and Mildred (Nilsen) Hoffman. Keith was raised on the family farm south of White Butte. He attended White Butte School and graduated from Lemmon High School in 1959.

Keith work at the Coop Food Store in Lemmon testing cream and at the meat counter. He was united in marriage to Beverly Boespflug on June 18, 1962. Keith delivered milk for area businesses and home delivery, later on purchasing the business. During his years living in Lemmon he was a member of the Lemmon Volunteer Fire Department for several years. On March 8, 1976, he became dad to a son, Paul.

In the winter of 1983, the Hoffman's moved to the farm which Keith and his brother operated together. Later on he went to work for Bob Hermann until his health began to fail. He has been battling cancer for the past several years. Keith passed away on July 20, 2016 at Sanford Health in Bismarck.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bev Hoffman, Lemmon, SD; one son, Paul (Harmonie) Hoffman, Glyndon, MN; two grandchildren, Amya and Irie; his twin sister, Esther Nagel, Reeder, ND; his brother, Gene Hoffman, of Lemmon, SD; a niece,numerous nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, George.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon.
