Kathryn M. Benedict, age 86 of Lemmon, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the West River Regional Medical Center in Hettinger, ND.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at the Riverside National Cemtery in Riverside, CA.

Kathryn Mae Love was born on February 26, 1933 in Los Angeles, CA to Hubert Russell and Agnes Bernadetta (Weaver) Love.  She attended school at Misson School San Gabriel, CA.  She moved to Oregon where she graduated in 1951 from Illinois High School in Cave Juction, Oregon.  She earned her teaching degree in RCC in Riverside, CA retiring at age 73 from the Hemet Unified School District.  She moved to Lemmon, SD in 2008.

She loved being around kids and she said it kept her young.

Surviving family members include her daughter, JB (Edward) Gold, grandson Phillip Gold, all of Lemmon, SD; and a brother Stan Gold, in Montana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother William Love.
