Funeral services for Katherine "Katy" Ward, 91, will be held 1:00 pm
Saturday, September 3 at the Bohn Ranch on Heart River near Carson, North
Dakota.


Rev Paul Hofer will officiate with burial in the Carson Community Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers are Eli Wollman Jr., Danny, Jake, John, Leonard, and Paul Wollman.


Katherine passed away on Wednesday morning, August 31 at home, with
relatives at her side.


Katherine was born on March 9th, 1914 in Menno South Dakota at Wolf Creek Hutterite Colony to Jacob and Susanna (Hofer) Wollman. She married Earl E. Ward on September 22, 1944 in San Diego California. She and her husband resided in Corrigan, Texas until the time of his death in October, 1992. Shortly after her husband passed away, Katherine moved to Lewistown, Montana to be near her Hutterite relatives. She was re-baptized into Fallon Ranch Hutterite Colony in June, 2001 after suffering a stroke and lived the remainder of her life with the family of Eli Wollman, including Sarah, Esther and Marie, her primary caregivers.


Katy loved to fish, especially for catfish, and spent many days with her family on rivers and lakes in Montana.


She is survived by her children, Robert Ward of Fresno, California, Karen Landers of Laurel, Montana, and Susanna Stahl of Smokey Lake, Alberta,
Canada, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
