Julie A Friesz 69, a beloved resident of New Leipzig ND unexpectedly left our lives on 6-23-25 after a
life of service and kindness.

Julie was born on March 6 1956 in McLaughlin SD To Herman an Ruby (Harrison) Block, she was the
oldest of 5 Children. She graduated from McIntosh High School in 1974.

Julie was a CNA at Jacobson Memorial Hospital in Elgin until she retired after 40 years. She ran a hotel
in Mott and Triple H Drive In in Elgin.

God was first in Julies life. Her faith was very important to her and also taught Sunday School. She
enjoyed cooking, baking, and sharing her creations. She loved spending time with family and friends
and got along with everyone. She loved joking around and always had something funny to say or a
special gesture. She enjoyed decorating for holidays, loved camping and fishing, rummage sales,
looking for treasures, and watching sitcom shows. Julie was married and grateful to have shared her life
with her 2 children.

She will be gratefully missed by Rachael Hankin (Justin) Mandan ND, Travis
Friesz Bismarck, Brothers Ray Block Sturgis and Brad Block (Renell) Bismarck, sisters Phyllis
(Bluhm) Pierre SD, Tracy Hoops (Richard) Britton SD and many extended family and friends.

Julie was proceeded in death by her parents Herman and Ruby (Harrison) Block and infant daughter
Jennifer Friesz

She is now at peace in the arms of her savior.

Family and friends memorial gathering will be held at the Elgin Park shelter on the north end of main
street on Saturday July 12th 2025 from 12-3 Central Time, sandwiches provided, everyone attending is
welcome to bring a dish to share.
