Jordan Thomas Hauge was born on Sept. 24, 1983 at Minot, ND and became Tom and Becky's special son on Nov. 9, 1983. He was baptized at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Nov. 19, 1983. The happy occasion took place during the church service following the annual lutefisk supper – a special time to have this little Norwegian baptized. Jordan was later confirmed at Bethesda and attended Roosevelt Public School in Carson, graduating in 2002.
He began at an early age loving the farm and ranch life, working with the animals, running the equipment, working the livestock and being his dad's right hand man. He was a member of the Green Meadow 4-H Club and enjoyed feeding and showing his steers. In school he was active in football and basketball, and later loved to play golf.
Jordan also loved the camping trips with his family, hunting and the family volley ball games. He liked to give his family and friends special "nicknames.".
His dream and love of driving trucks took him to Southeast Tech in Sioux Falls, SD where he became a Certified Heavy Equipment operator. He then worked in various locations in North Dakota. Because of the great demand in the construction field, Jordan spread his wings and landed in Kona, Hawaii where he drove truck and worked for R.S.I. Roofing and Building Supply. He soon bonded with the owners and employees, who considered him "family" as well.
There he grew his angel wings and is now in heaven to happily drive that "big rig".
He will be remembered for his kindness to all and his willingness to be there to help others. Jordan's special smile will live forever in the hearts of many.
Those who couldn't have asked for a better son and are so very thankful for all the lasting memories of 24 wonderful years are his parents, Tom and Becky Hauge or rural Carson, his brother; Pvt. Stuart Reece Hauge of Ft. Jackson, SC, his grandmother, Dorothy Hauge and grandfather, Gordon Cofer both of Carson, his godparents Dennis and Karen Sabin of rural Morristown, SD and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ardath Hauge, maternal grandmother, Ramona Cofer and special cousin, Jason Weinberger.
