The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm MT, Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Elgin with burial in the Carson Community Cemetery with Pastor Paul Ferrie, officiating.


Serving as casketbearers are Steve, Marty, and Tom Ketterling, Wayne and Terry Nagel, and Jim Ferderer.

John S. Ferderer was born on June 9, 1942 in Elgin, ND to Jacob H. and Esther (Sebastian) Ferderer.  He grew up in Heil and graduated from high school in Elgin in 1962.  John enjoyed anything to do with farming.  He had a few cattle, sheep, and loved driving John Deere tractors plowing and planting.  He worked for Ray Schmidtgal for several years.

John collected coins and pens and was a very talented oil painter.  He loved spending time with this brother hunting, trapping, and fishing.  His two nieces had a very special place in his heart.

Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Jeanette Ferderer, Heil, ND; 2 nieces, Suzette (Ferderer) Cash, Chicago, IL; Bridget (Ferderer) Jehle, Phoenix, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
