Funeral services for Jim Urban, age 65 of Billings, MT, will be held at 10:30am Thursday, December 27, at St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lemmon. Rev Frank Gantt will officiate with burial in the Date Cemetery southwest of Bison.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Aaron Seaholm, Brian Seaholm, Jason Pinter, Brooke Risa, Katie Bubbers, Kari Bubbers, and Adam Fahsholz.

Serving as Active Pallbearers are Daryl Cole, Quentin Walz, Tim Pinter, Mark Fahsholz, Dwight Wenner, and Lowell Kolb.

James "Jim" Leland Urban died peacefully in his home December 20, 2007 after his valiant fight with cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends; love and laughter.

Jim was born October 18, 1942 in Mitchell, SD to Dallas Reed and Lorraine LaVern (Wannamaker) Reed. He graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1960. On February 6, 1961, he started working for Mountain Bell. He retired from Qwest after nearly forty years of service. His phone company friends have been and will remain an extended family.

On September 5, 1981 he was united in marriage with Susan (Kolb) Urban. They resided in Billings, raising their only child, Trevor John Urban.

Surviving family members include his wife, Susan of Billings, his son, Trevor John Urban of Silverdale, WA; his sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Tim Pinter of Billings, MT; his father-in-law, Vernon Kolb formerly of Lemmon, SD, two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Marion and Earl Seaholm of Billings, MT; Noreen and Mark Fahsholz of Colfax, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law, Darlene Kolb.
